Antitope to Present at Protein Therapeutics Discovery and Development, San Diego, 7th September 2008
Dr. Matthew Baker, CSO of Antitope, will speak at a workshop entitled "In Silico and In Vitro Screening for Immunogenicity in Drug Discovery" at the Protein Therapeutics - Discovery and Development Conference in San Diego, CA, 7th September 2008.
Dr Baker's presentation, "Selection and Design of Therapeutic Proteins with Reduced Immunogenicity," will provide background to immunogenicity risk factors and illustrate the techniques available to pre-determine immunogenicity. Case studies highlighting the link between clinical immunogenicity and T-cell epitopes will be discussed, and techniques will be described for the accurate detection of T cell epitopes and for re-engineering therapeutic proteins to reduce the risk of immunogenicity.
